The Oak Drive Bridge over Two-Mile Creek is being replaced in 2018. The City obtained a federal grant, by which 80% of the costs will be reimbursed.
Project Update and Schedule
This project bid on 3/2/18, and the low bidder was Kozeny-Wagner. The Board of Alderman approved the contract, and MoDOT granted Concurrence in Award. The preconstruction meeting took place 5/3. The project kicked off with tree removal on 5/29 and bridge demolition on 5/31. The bridge debris was then removed and piles were driven. The piers were formed and poured, then the deck was poured Wednesday 7/25. After that, the corral rails (walls) were poured, forms removed, and storm sewers installed. The adjacent roadways were poured the week of 8/27. The street and bridge were reopened to traffic on 9/7. Only punchlist work remains. Thank you for your patience during this project. This was the last of a series of six bridge replacements since 2010.
